We respectfully acknowledge that Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, located within the Malcolm Knapp Research Forest, is situated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the q̓ic̓əy̓ (Katzie) First Nation.
We recognize the q̓ic̓əy̓ people as the original owners and ongoing caretakers of this territory, and we are grateful for the opportunity to gather and learn here.
Our Venue
The Malcolm Knapp Research Forest is a living laboratory and vital outdoor classroom that has shaped generations of foresters and environmental stewards. It is also a vibrant hub for research, providing immersive learning opportunities for students and professionals.
Our venue, Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre, is nestled in this scenic forest setting in Maple Ridge, BC, about an hour east of downtown Vancouver.
